Kenneth Paupanekis
BA, B.Ed., M.Ed.,

Ken is a Cree who was born and raised in Norway House.  He attended school in Norway House, Teulon, Winnipeg and Brandon, finishing with his M.Ed.  He has worked as a teacher, school administrator, Norway House High School, Norway House High School principal, Superintendent of Frontier School Division at Norway House, translator, and has taught for the University of Brandon.  His most recent accomplishment was the creation of two online Cree language courses for the University College of the North.  In his travels, Ken Paupanekis can communicate easily with other Cree speakers of the N dialect regardless of where they come from.  It is all the same language, after all.
