SPIRITUAL BEINGS
“The spirits of the life forces are the air, land, water and fire. The bird, animal, fish and sun, represent these spiritual beings. The yellow circle is the fire, sun. The four brown lines coming from the sun are the four seasons, winter, spring, summer and fall. The red lines portray the flow of new life. Nature celebrates the New Year in the spring. This also shows the daily time of sunrise and sunset. The bird represents the spirit of air, the animal represents the land, and the fish portrays the spirit of water. These spiritual beings are given to all people from the time we come into this world. These spirits walk with us on our journey of life. We must care for them as they care for us. The designs inside these beings have the meaning of the feeling and life of these spiritual lifegivers. We get to know the feeling and life of nature by developing a respectful relationship with them. The relationship with the bird, animal and fish is that they have parents and become parents and grandparents as we do and they connect us through the spirit of life” – Roy Thomas
