Learning Ojibwe

Ojibwe is also known as Saulteaux and Chippewa.  It is very similar to Algonquin.  The people themselves call it Anishinaabemowin, and it is still spoken in central North America.

Using this book, you can learn to speak the language too.  Each lesson has vocabulary, dialogues and grammatical explanations. Short stories are added in later lessons.  At the back of the book is a two-way glossary which contains useful vocabulary, expressions and placenames from Canada and the United States.
