Artist statement:
"For as long as I can remember I've had a drive to seek out, express, and preserve experiences that inspire me. My goal as an artist is to create works that capture this inspiration and share it with others.
There is no intended message or statement in my work. My work is about sensation, emotion, and a spiritual connection to a place, person, or thing. It's a very abstract motivation that is impossible to express in words but easy to express in visual languages such as painting and sculpture; it also comes across in music. I see my work as a spiritual practice because it satisfies a spiritual need I have to explore and experience things on a deep level. Art allows me to experience things on a deep level. Through the act of creation, I seek to clarify and record sources of meaning, fulfillment and wonder."
