Jimi Oskineegish

Translation of Oskineegish: Forever Young or it could refer to a beautiful spring day when everything in life is blossoming.

Jimi Oskineegish an Ojibwe artist from the Eabametoong First Nation (also known as Fort Hope) a remote community northeast of Thunder Bay Ontario, Canada, and is only accessible by air.

During his childhood, Jimi gravitated towards art as a means to express his ideas and thoughts. Jimi discovered art to convey his stories on canvas and also promote positive Ahnisnabae Culture to the world. Jimi uses his talent to engage the viewer into the realm of Native Culture from both the legends that the Elders have told as well as sharing his personal dreams and thoughts.
