"Eagle medicine is a gift from our Creator. It reflects the vision of the great spirit for the people. The eagle is said to carry our prayers to the Creator. It also represents enlightenment within one's self, searching in the seven directions for wholeness and wellness. It is the highest honor in our culture to receive an eagle feather. It says to our people that the ancestors are happy with us and honor our journey on the red road. The eagle is honored to see how the people respect it's feathers and continue to share the blessings of our ceremonial ways. I say 'Chi Meegwetch' to all nations who honor and respect the blessings of our traditional ways."
