Ojibwa Wild Flower This shaker is painted with the wild flower from my home where I come from, we are Ojibwa.  Each nation of the people had their distinctive way of beading, painting the animals, flowers or even decorating hair. This was to identify who they were. When we would meet each other our language being so different we could easily identify each other. This is how the Ojibwa, Chippewa and other woodland First Nation people drew their flower. The field in front of my Nokomis’ house is the flower I grew up with. This is what I was thinking of when I made this shaker and when I was painting it.  Miigwech S. Oz S. Oz. 06/06 #9© > Ojibwa Wild Flower >Round top
