This is a portrait of a traditional Chief who is representative of our Ojibwe royalty. He is decorated with colour and splendor and is continually protected. He is given the privilege to lead by the elders and spirits and has the responsibilty to lead with the support of the people. These men made treaties with the English royalty over a hundred years ago. The 3 eagles and Chief represnt the four stages in life: child, youth, adult and elder. The chief is in his adult stage but he is also learning from the others.
