Dream Catcher

As the legend goes, the dream catcher was used by the Anishinaabe and was hung in the lodge (near the bedroom window).  Its use was to catch all dreams good and bad.  The bad dreams would be caught up in the webbing and held there until first morning light, then burned off.  Then the good dreams were caught.  Knowing their way to the hole in the centre, they would escape and filter down to the feathers to return another night.

Ken Picked p this dreamcatcher from the gallery and sold it at Keshigin Days/FWHP Thunder Bay Aug19/05
