Robert Kakegamic has lived all his life in Sandy Lake, Ontario, a Swampy Cree (Ojibwa) First Nations community.
He continues the
His depiction of wildlife inhabiting his area of the universe is monochromatic and his signature huge yellow eyes readily identify his work. Robert also brings an imaginative, but clear cut imagery to his paintings of the life of his people. Many limited editions of Roberts have been published over the years, he’s also published calendars and children’s coloring books.
