David Williams is from the Garden River First Nation east of Sault St. Marie Ontario.
David is an Ojibwa artist whose inventiveness in painting, experimenting and developing his watercolor technique since 1977, this has lead him to combine geometric designs with realistic images. William's paintings often depict a way of life that has long since vanished. Traditional lifestyles and plentiful animals tell stories of a time that has since disappeared with the depletion of land and animals. The uniqueness of his paintings also contains three red and one yellow sun representing his three sons and daughter.
